heart/shut

Heard from a friend that somebody from her past tried shutting herself from people for several years. I felt even more alarmed when she said maybe its time she did so. But in fact, everyone does.In modern society where evil pours in everywhere and anytime, its not surprising to see ourselves closing up more and more. Some cut off from the reality, others do it more gently. But whatever the reasons, i think i understand why.
Pain....

That's what makes us shut ourselves. Pain from a lost relationship, regardless of friendship or any other kind of mutual bond. It is nonetheless a dreadful impact on our lives. It is etched into our very soul, causing us to flow tears and sigh fruitless sorrows.I admit i did that too. After losing a friend i never quite let myself out anymore. Not wholly. My doorway into my heart is partially closed. Therefore it is not surprising when my old friends say: "i don't quite understand you".
Reminds me of a picture, a scenery where a willow tree stood alone and rooted on a high cliff. It has no friends. No one to talk to. Nobody to see.
