17th August--Coursemates all set off for Melaka! Seven girls sitted in 2 cars set off for a one-day trip to Melaka. We set off from Cheras in the morning and arrived at Seremban for a brunch meal. Then off we go into Melaka. Our first spot was Mini Malaysia. There we toured around the Rumahs of all different states including Sarawak's Rumah Panjang.
Enclosed is a corner of the traditional Longhouse. The floor was a bit uneasy to walk about. I guess modern folks are not used to a bamboo floorboards.^^
Then after that we went for lunch near Farmosa fort. We had Melaka's famous cuisine, Rice Ball and Chicken. We had our fillings of 5 rice balls each and shared a whole chicken. Yummy!
After lunch we went into the Farmosa fortress. We visited the ruins of St. Francis Xavier church as well as the Melaka church. We all took a lot of photos with digital cameras. (unfortunately they're not out yet as i write this blog) Below is one photo i took with my handphone. Its the floor of the Melaka church. Its actually a Tombstone, which can be found everywhere on both sides of the wall and the floor.

Then we went for Chendol at Tan Hock Lee food enterprise. We all bought some junk and dried foods there. For dinner, we had Steamboat cucuk in Satay soup base. Penny's Melaka Friend treated us. Thank you HanLin. ^^ We stuffed until we could no longer eat anymore, and Jane n me emerged Champion....23 sticks in total! Gosh!! Furthermore Jane had only one drink. I had two drinks. After dinner we even went for a drink at a local joint. There was no hot chocolate, so the only hot drink option was milk with honey. (I can't drink coffee or tea at night for fear i'll get insomnia)But even so, the drink was dilluted to something like a HoneyStar milk. Haiz....
We finally head home after that. Not our KL homes, but one of our friend's hometown lodgings in Seremban. We drove all the way back using the highway and reached after 45 minutes. Here we met Wikky. Isn't he cute?
He is sooooo adoring! Looks just like a stuffed toy! hee.....

All 7 girls split into groups of 4 and 3 and slept in 2 rooms. It was already late by the time we arrived, Almost everyone in the household had slept by then. We took turns to have our shower in 2 bathrooms and chit-chatted in 1room until the wee hours. Our2 drivers finally called us off begging us to spare them to get enough rest for the next day!^^
The next day we got up so late that by the time we head out for our breakfast it was actually lunchtime already. *yikes* We had Beef noodles. But could you imagine Barley drink only costed 80 cents??! My gosh! Seremban food is well worth it. Its satisfied both in terms of quality and quantity. Followed by our meal we went to buy Siu Pau . Since we did not know where else to go we went into Jusco building for Starbucks. After our coffee we leisurely walked around before our 'shopping craze' kicked in. Since it was WAY cheaper than KL. In addition, it was having a discount until 70%!! *hyak-hyak*
Time was running fast, so we hurriedly grabbed what we could and head home for our luggages. Finally, we rushed home in 2 separate ways because 2 of the team wanted to head home for Johor. The other car of four, including me, headed back for KL.
All in all, it was a fun and memorable trip.^^
