Blue Angel

I drew this quite some time ago back in the last few months of year 2002. I just finished the UEC examinations, and was bored. So i took the liberty to draw this. Its hand-drawn on a thick piece of art paper using watercolor. Drawing it in a single color was quite challenging. I used up A LOT of my time to perfect this. It may not be a masterpiece but i quite like the outcome. Forgive me for the crumpled condition. I don't have the kind of large folio for a picture that big. I just scrolled it up, badly. >.< CloseUp of the head. Clumsy me forgot to change my brushes. I only remembered after drawing halfway through. So some of the hair strands actually look thick and unnatural. Fortunately, i drew the eyes using the correct brush.^^ Closeup of the back of the angel. The pencil outlines, as you can see here, have faded. But the wings can still be noted. Closeup of the wing. Huge, large wings inspired by X the comic. I took a lot of time perfecting it in pencil before painting it. Another closeup of the wing. I darkened one part of it to show that the wings were folded and not expanded. The complete wing extended from the the back. The wing extends beyond the paper, its just that i didn't have that big a paper to finish it!^^ But in any case, I was already satisfied. It DID help me pass my time back then.
