busy...busy...busy

I’ve been so busy spring cleaning lately. I can hardly breathe!

First of all, my home library is being renovated, so all furniture was moved out, including all the books inside. I still can’t believe how many books there are! There must have been hundreds of them, ranging from literatures, novels, encyclopedias, medical books, historical books, puzzle books, language books, art books and even fairy tales! Luckily only one third of these were shifted out to the living room. The rest were still in the huge cupboard because it was already affixed to one side of the walls. (from floor to ceiling) The piles are yet to be put back in after we rearrange the furniture to fit in my piano. I dread if I were to go over them and pick and good ones to remain. Some were already yellow, crumpled or decayed. (mostly children’s books passed down from generations to generations) Right now, I’m just concentrating with MY stuff.

Ever since I moved all the things back home I ‘ve been going through a headache just trying to place my things. Firstly, there’s the problem of not enough room space to fit in my 5-tier drawer. Secondly, is since I exchanged room with my brother, HIS stuff are still in the cupboards. Sigh…. My CDs are another big problem. I don’t have a rack or a file big enough to fit all the CDs.

Last night I went through one whole night just trying to label my music books. There is just SO much. It’s almost as much as one third of my home library! There were books so old that they date back to 1965 publishing date. The oldest, rarest book is perhaps ABRSM’s piano exam book dated 1975. Still not surprised? Tell u what, my sister was born on that year.^^

Since all my siblings took up piano under different teachers before me, they left me with numerous books of beginner and intermediate level. These books introduce various teaching methods. WAA! I must thank my siblings!^^ These books provide vital reference sources in teaching kids. Hee…

Right now I’m looking at the pieces of paper where I scribbled down the information of all the books in my music library. I have yet to type them down in clear font. Sigh……

Another sad thing is….I noticed I lost ALL my history notes!!! *wail* My ‘beloved’ notes….>.<
