Here I am again, at the same cyber cafe i came to last week. I had a few things that need attending to at the Ministry of Manpower. So after that i lepak around and found this corner shop. Devoid of Internet ever since i came to singapore, I've been dying to online! @_@
I went to the Raffles Hospital earlier this morning for a medical checkup. Such a LONG queue! The most awkward part of the checkup was the X-ray. Girls were called to change into their purple robes for the screening. I felt so naked even with my jeans on. >.<
I opted for a letter requiring an extension for my stay here, cause it expires tomorrow. So, after much hassle, the doctor finally signed this special request letter asking for a week's extension. Then after that, i happily went on the the Ministry of Manpower to get the extension done. When at last everything else was done, i went to a nearby cyber cafe only to find that---I LOST MY GLASSES!!!!! *sob*
I backtracked and asked about everywhere but i still couldn't find it. *sigh*
People ask me what's the difference between teaching here and compared to Malaysia. There's not much difference in terms of staff, one branch had all the staff members come from my hometown.^^ The biggest differenve lay in the students themselves. They come from around the world. I have korean, japanese, Eurasian and English students besides the local races. I just switch my slang whenever i meet a different student.
Just last week, i had a boy who came to his violin lesson without his violin. So for the whole lesson we did theory work instead. And guess who's the oldest student? A dear old granny who has a three-year-old grandson!^^ She came to continue with her violin lessons.
