feeling youthful and radiant and...sick

Here I am, after being gently reminded by Jane once more to UPDATE. After almost one week of being sick, doctor's phlegm medicine made my throat REALLY dry until it makes me cough. Then my sister had to go and sleep with the air-conditioner. *oh god* My nose, at this point, can't stand cold air. It makes me cough. I had to resolve to 'mummifying myself', covering myself with a mask and blanket. This has gone on for 3 nights already.

caught by my sister....
Last Monday, i went to Chinatown with two other friends. My aim was to hunt for tour packages to Cambodia. Unfortunately they were free-and-easy sort of tour and costly. So I've resolved to travel solo with a handy book from LonelyPlanet instead. (Don't worry, there's another friend joining me.) After Chinatown trip we went on to Orchard Cineleisure for Spiderman 3 movie. We had dinner at one of the HongKong style restaurants. By then, I knew i was definitely coming down with fever. No wonder my head's been feeling heavy the whole day. I just felt so tired. The movie was good. I thought it was sort of funny, with the usual Spidey doing all those pranks. Ha....everyone loved them. After the movie we headed home. I swallowed an aspirin, drank gallons of water and slept.

Friday night me and my sister watched 300. I was not really interested in this war movie. But it turned out to be a good movie. Almost all the outdoor scenes were done in CG. (color graphic, as in using computers) The script was well written. Plenty of beautiful slow shots. And of course, plenty of blood. It is, after all, about war. For those who are curious to know the true events however, check out Wikipedia, The Battle of Thermopylae.

Last night i asked my sister to wait for me to come home then we have dinner together. So we decided to go to Adam's Hawker Centre and sip our favourite drink, Bitter Gourd and Green Apple. Muahaha!! But then, after walking over only did we realize it was under renovation.

So we ended up eating MacDonalds. *groan* Surprisingly, my sister had never tried the Grilled Chicken Foldover before. Proves that she hasn't been to MacDonald's long time. It was the same MacDonald's that served my sister cold meat burger. This time, they forgot my Foldover. My sister also disclosed a secret to me that made me never ever want to buy their sundae or ice cream. Apparently, the machines were not washed everyday. So imagine maggots crawling in the tanks.

I bought this cute little voodoo keychain for my brother's birthday.

And below is my very first DIY pedicure. The ingredients were bought from Sasa, when i had an outing with Jane at Bugis. I guess she inspired me. Hehe...^^ I'm missing her already. *sniff*
