Its been SO long since I dropped a word here. Where shall I begin? Hmm…let’s start with….moving house!
Me and my siblings shifted house recently. It’s a windy corridor unit, so people can look in and see what’s happening inside. That’s a major setback that we still have to solve. But besides that, it’s windy enough from the front and the back door. In fact, it’s so windy until we have to close all the backroom windows when it rains. Furthermore, I have to sweep the floor almost every other day. >.<
For your information, Singaporeans mostly hang their clothes indoor to dry. They use bamboo sticks hung on metal racks drilled into the ceiling. I could barely hang the clothes at the old house. The new ceiling is so much higher! Sigh…I always need a stool just to hang clothes. *sob* Just a few weeks ago a saw a terrible thing happen in our new kitchen. One part of the rack actually fell off right in front of my eyes. Now the rack is hanging precariously on 3 ends. *sweat*
My neighbour next door keeps a cat named Chiki.(or is it Tiki?) It’s a black and white cat with yellow eyes when seen in the day. He wears a collar with a purple bell. This particular cat likes to wander into our house when nobody’s paying attention. Another similar cat also likes to come inside. In fact, he even jumped up our living room window in attempt to crawl in! Perhaps it was him to jumped onto the shoe rack in the middle of the night and mewed so loudly until my brother awoke from his sleep.^^ (His bedroom window is just next to the shoe rack.)
Every now and then I still do silly things. Before we actually moved over, all three of us kept an extra key of the new house. We would pack up some things and carry them over to our new block from time to time. Once, I and my sister walked home after moving our bags. I tried to open the padlock, but it wouldn’t open. So I said, “How come I can’t open it?” Then my sister looked at the key, sighed and asked, “Which house key is that?”
Oops. =P
But honestly….they look identical!
Evening views from my current bedroom window. Taken with different modes a few minutes apart. Nice?
