HOME SWEET HOME!!! Aahh…..home….nothing beats it.^^ Cozy home. Just went shopping 2 days ago in Ipoh. It seems so much quieter than I remembered. Maybe KL is better? Orchard Road in Singapore is so full of life, even on weekdays. I’ve seen silver, static ‘statues’. (Poor guys must be tiring ‘pausing’ whole day.) Jesters walking on stilts and even Caesar’s army parading through the streets! The road itself is decorated so pretty. Lots of tourist took photos with the numerous designs of Christmas trees. There’s certainly more feel in Singapore.

Coffee at Spinelli's. (Guess i got 'infected' by jane. >.< )

Talking about coffees, I had a free Starbucks coffee at Parkway. It was a Christmas Open House celebration. Just come during 5-7pm and order any beverage of your choice, FREE!^^ It was so nice. Yum-yum! The queue was already there when I arrived at 5pm. I made a little donation to the Salvation Army tin can. Two little kids were there to hand out calendars and stickers to those who donated. Such cuties.^^

I guess all the teaching paid off. I got 2 students (or rather parents) who gave me Christmas presents. A Laura Ashley pouch and a Body Shop stuff which I left at Paragon. But anyhow, it’s not the value of the gifts that counts; it’s the action itself which gave me warmth. Even a hand drawn card can be so meaningful.^^

I learned to make soup in Singapore. So sometimes I would boil some before I go to work in the afternoons. Then I’ll message my siblings to finish them up when they come home from work in the evenings. But besides that, I haven’t really learned how to fry stuff in the wok. At most, I do it the lazy way—steam a fish fillet, a few slices of potato or some vegetable warped in aluminum foil in the oven toaster. Oil-free and hassle-free. =^^=

I heard a familiar bird call this evening, and I was reminded of my days back at the old apartment before we shifted. There was a tree right outside our bedroom window with a bird’s nest in it. This particular bird LOVED to sing in the wee hours of the morning. As the pitch gets higher, the call increases in volume. Woo…woo...woo…!! I wanted SO much to get a catapult and whack that stupid bird for waking me up at 5AM!
